Berlin with the Game of Maps winners

A while ago we posted an article about our Game of Maps competition for anyone interested in during edits in our maps. People from all over the Western Europe had a chance to compete during 3 separate challengers. The prizes were attractive, among which the main prize for the winner per country/region was the trip to Berlin.

After an interesting competition in Benelux, 3 winners were selected, among which Philippe won the trip.

On June 21st our HERE Community Team welcomed the country/regional winners at HERE Berlin office from Benelux (Philippe Casteleyn), Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy and France, unfortunately with one winner missing (from the UK). The winners received a place to stay at a nice hotel just across our HERE office.

After a small ice-breaking session with Kahoot quiz game, we had some introductions of HERE Community members and their winners. Later on our winners could hear our colleague talking about career opportunities at our company. Moreover, our colleagues from the other departments presented the future developments of Map Creator and provided a fascinating presentation about HERE Open Location Platform. Important aspect was that the winners could interact, ask questions and share their opinions.

After an intense day of presentations and opinion-sharing, we all went to the restaurant and spent some quality time with each other by enjoying Italian cuisine.

Let’s see Berlin

The following day HERE Community Team prepared a surprise for their winners and invited them for a private 3-hour city tour guide. It’s was a very interesting activity, where we all could listen to many facts, get to know the history and admire the beauty of Berlin!

It was a pleasure to meet our winners in person, talk to them, listen to their feedback and show our appreciation for their efforts and time to keep our maps fresh and accurate.
